Our engagement happened in the most 'us' way possible; it wasn't formal or planned. But more of a mutual feeling & connection of celebrating our love over the years.
The forecast called for rain. Recent days had been a mix of light showers and steady rain with the occasional break, so we decided that we would make the most of whatever nature might throw at us; and I'm glad we did. The evening was perfectly crisp, with little bits of fog every now and then, and a surprise appearance by the sun. The leaves were romantically dying; giving the pure beauty of Fall.
I had never been to Ward's Island; Mike had been a long while ago, and admittedly much had changed since. It was our first time there together. The water taxi ride was scenic as we sailed away from the big city. Toronto looked cinematic when viewing it from across the water. The buildings & CN Tower glistened as the little waves gently hit the shoreline. The sunset only added to the romantic picturesqueness of it all. We brought a cozy blanket and candidly smiled and kissed while holding hands the whole time; mainly for pictures, but also because love happens, you know? My favourite part was experiencing golden hour hit the shoreline & rusty coloured trees in the background as they were basking in its hues.
It was an honour to be captured by the incredibly talented Selina Whittaker. We will always cherish this day, and cannot wait to visit again!
