Ceremony

Since it was too windy & cold to hold the ceremony outside by the seaside arch as originally planned, something more beautifully intimate took place. Mike, with the permission of Johanna, our host in Bonavista, rearranged the furniture in her living room to create a wedding venue that opened up to the town and Atlantic Ocean through large bay windows.

'I Do'

We said, 'I Do'. Binding the love, desire, respect, & Joy that we have for each other. Looking forward to making new memories as the Bennetts.

Sentimental Touch

Cynthia had commissioned friend & fashion designer, Caro Gomez, London based Couturier. "It was important to honor my heritage by having a fellow Central American design the wedding dress. In Mesoamerican culture, the Jaguar represents virtues that I've always connected with, and it's represented through the shifting iridescent onyx shade of the gown. The beaded necklace was handmade in Central America, and the colors I chose represent the colors of the countries my parents were born in. Along with a handmade Sapphire & Swarovski vine headpiece, and a petite ivory blusher I found on etsy as my touch of traditional. Lastly, Valenti heels by, Jeffrey Campbell, as an ode to my love of fashion." Floral arrangements were by Sharpe Design, in St. John's, with a heartfelt charm of a picture from Mike's parent's wedding day.

Mike went with a classic Calvin Klein navy suit, his grandfather's Planters Peanuts cufflinks, boutonniere complimentary to Cynthia's bouquet, and navy socks with our cats Neville & Olive on them as they are a big part of our happy lives.
